Ein Übersetzungsprojekt der Landes-Stiftung Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck und des Künstlerhauses Edenkoben

In Zusammenarbeit mit der Landes-Stiftung Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck lädt das Künstlerhaus Edenkoben jedes Jahr ausländische und deutschsprachige Lyriker zu gemeinsamer Übersetzungsarbeit ein. In einer knappen Woche werden aus Gedichten der Autoren des Gastlandes im gemeinsamen vielsprachigen Dialog deutsche Nachdichtungen erarbeitet. Die Ergebnisse der Werkstatt werden bei einer Matinee im Künstlerhaus in einer zweisprachigen Lesung vorgestellt.
Anschließende Publikationen fassen die literarische Ernte zusammen und machen sie damit einer interessierten Leserschaft zugänglich. 

Bisher waren bei dem Übersetzungsprojekt etwa 100 (Nach-)dichter aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum sowie über 120 Autoren aus 24 Sprachen zu Gast: Dänemark (1988), Ungarn (1989), Spanien (1990), Island (1991), die Niederlande (1992), Bulgarien (1993), Italien (1994), Frankreich (1995), Norwegen (1996), Irland (1997), Estland (1998), Rumänien (1999), Portugal (2000), Finnland (2001), Griechenland (2002), Russland (2003), England (2004), Ukraine (2005), Schweiz (2006), Slowenien (2007) , Schweden (2008), Kroatien (2009), Belgien (2010) und Bosnien-Herzegowina (2011).

Die Türkei (2012) ist das 25. Gastland dieser Reihe. Poesie der Nachbarn: Türkei wird unterstützt von der Robert Bosch Stiftung.

A Translation Project of the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck Foundation and the Artist’s Centre Edenkoben

In collaboration with the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck Foundation, the Artists’ Centre Edenkoben invites poets from foreign countries and from Germany to a joint translation workshop. Within about a week of joint multilingual dialogue, German adaptations of poems written by the authors from the host country emerge. The results are presented to the public in a bilingual lecture at the Artists’ Centre Edenkoben. Furthermore, the results obtained during the workshop are compiled in a bilingual publication and so made accessible to an interested readership.

Until now, there were about 100 (rewriting) poets of German-speaking regions as well as more than 120 authors (Verlinkung zu Autoren) with 24 different languages who took part in the translation project: Denmark (1988), Hungary (1989), Spain (1990), Iceland (1991), The Netherlands (1992), Bulgaria (1993), Italy (1994), France (1995), Norway (1996), Ireland (1997), Estonia (1998), Romania (1999), Portugal (2000), Finland (2001), Greece (2002), Russia (2003), England (2004), Ukraine (2005), Switzerland (2006), Slovenia (2007) and Sweden (2008), Croatia (2009), Belgium (2010) and Bosnia-Herzegovina (2011).
